Heck it took me long enough.

So here is the whole run down.
December 24th - We worked until 3pm. Yep you read that right - 3pm. I came home took a short nap. It was a busy day. We collected money and food for one of our previous OB patients who has hit an extremely hard patch. Her husband lost his job, they lost their house, they are living in a travel trailer and she lost her mother recently. The in-laws took them to dinner. She went outside to nurse the baby and someone stole her purse with their money, food stamps and her mother's jewelry in it. They had nothing. So we collected enough stuff to help them get through this troubled time that was suppose to be the happiest time of the year. Mom & I opened presents that evening. I got an Amazon Kindle. Yeah. This thing is the greatest.
December 26th - I boarded a plane in Orlando to Greensboro with a layover in Atlanta. Well of course we made great time until we hit Atlanta. The fog moved in. I truly do not think it ever moved out. It was incredible and scary to see. The planes were taking off and disappearing before the tail was off the ground. I went and got a snack and some reading at Chili's. We were told to go to gate D31. Well at the time we were suppose to take off it was pushed to 3pm. Then we moved to D27. Then it was pushed to 315pm. then 330pm and back to D31. Then it was announced that our plane was here and we would be boarding at 4pm from D27. We boarded and the pilot says the fog is moving in and they needed to take a different route so they needed more fuel. so 45 minutes sitting in the little plane on the tarmac we finally take off 2 hours late. I finally land in Greensboro. My dad meet me at the airport. My stepmother is at home because she is not feeling well. Which I do not mind. I don't get to spend too much time with my dad. We go home and have some left overs. It was great.
otherwise the trip goes as usual. My stepmother is constantly in shopping mode. She did have a down time on Sunday and Monday. She came down with a kidney infection and ended up at urgent care and they gave her drugs and she slept most of those 2 days. They did allow me to cook - So I made Chicken and Rice Casserole. They liked it. My aunt & uncle came over on his way home from Baptist Hospital. He was diagnosed the day before that he has a blood clot at his pic line. They gave him some medication that for 10days it is $1445.00. Of course insurance does not want to pay for it. My stepmother is having a fit about the cost. I explained to my stepmother that it is the medicine that I will have to inject myself with when I get pregnant. Boy did I surprise her. I explained that is why I am hoping for twins to get it over once. On New Years Eve it is time to head home. I have never thought I was going to crash until my way home. The plane took some scary turns and drops. Of course we were 20mins late takng off. When we landed in Atlanta the pilot let those with short connections get off first. That was lucky. So it is 110pm and my plane to Orlando leaves at 150pm. I am, you guessed it D31 and have to A2. So I walk to distance to the A terminal and as I am walking up they are boarding the plane. So much for stopping to get something to nibble on. So I get to my seat. I am lucky that they have have not put anyone next to me. Then just at the last minute they put someone there. This veteran that of course had to make comments about how it is amazing that this tiny wings can carry such a big plane. Oh good heaven, just what you want to hear after the first leg of the trip. So I make back to the main terminal of the airport. Mom tells me that Uncle Bobby had to go back to the hospital because he had an episode. Well his sugar was in the 300's when I was there and that is what I figuired it was. It ended up to be one of his meds giving him a fit. Otherwise things are back to it's normal crazyness. Now you are up to spead. Oh I did make some money babysitting twice so far. Happy new year.
